Fred's Story
Life
After college I taught school for 8 years, 4 in Arenzville, IL and 4 in Park Ridge at St. Andrews. I left teaching in 1978 and joined the Wisconsin State Patrol. I did my basic training at Fort McCoy and was stationed in Hudson, WI. as a trooper patroling I-94. In 1980 I was promoted to sergeant and transferred to the Academy at Fort McCoy where I was Deputy Director of Training and eventually became the Director of Management and Supervisory Training programs. use remodeling and building my '39 Chrysler street rod.
I'm still involved in theater as a director, actor and playwright and have had 3 of my own plays produced. I'm currently the Artistic Director of the Area Community Theatre in Tomah and President of the Board of Directors.
I spend the rest of my spare time on our 200 acre hunting retreat waaaaay up north where my oldest son and I are building a log cabin.
My wife Darlene (married in 1969) owns her own real estate company and we have 3 grown children and of course our dog.
