Fred's Story

Life I left Borger in 1969 after Grad. and went into the Navy. After 2 tours on Riverboats I was discharged and I decided to go to work in Chicago. Bad decission almost froze to death. Came to East Texas and went to work for TXU. I have worked for them for 34 years. I am a Construction Manager now Luminant Energy. My wife and I enjoy SCUBA diving and driving our Corvettes. She has hers and I have mine and we tend to see who is fastest from time to time. We do the Lone Star Classic every year at Texas Motor Speedway in April. is probly us. We have 4 children and 13 Grand Kids. I often wonder about the friends that I ran around with as to what happened to them. I wish we would have stayed closer together than we have. I guess that the Service had alot to do with this since some didn't make it home and maybe I just didn't want to know who did and who didn't. I have been able to track some of them down and infact came through Borger the Summer of 2008 and visited with John Mars. Boy has the town changed from what I remember of it. I plan on going to the Reunion this Summer. I want to see who has changed and who hasn't.
