Fred's Story
After G-P, I went to Texas A&I a couple of years. I have since gone back to school twice, BS from Texas A&M-CC (Math) and a BA from Howard Payne (Theology).
I taught HS Math for a few years til I decided I should get out before I threw some bratty kid threw a wall. (lol) I was a preacher for about 8 years. I was married for 28 years but finally divorced. (...too much strife...just needed to find some peace...) Of course, that ended my pastoral career.
Last year, I was an actor/singer in Branson ("Noah: the musical" at Sight & Sound Theatre).
The constant through all this time has been music. I write songs, have done a lot of concerts, led revivals, etc. (I would say I'm decent but not great at the singing and song-writing thing.) I am thinking about trying to pull a band together in the near future. I have a MySpace site (SingSpirat...Expand for more
ionStation) with some of my songs/singing on it.
My most recent endeavor... I just completed a book (theology but for the layman) called: "Faithing" What Does It Mean...to "Believe".
I ended up with 5 VERY WELL-BEHAVED kids. That's because we used to have 6. ...Made an example out of one of'em and the rest of'em fell right into line. (Sorry, that's my standard "disciplinarian" joke.) ...but, 5 kids...several in college currently.
I am currently living in Branson with my biological sister, Barbara. (Yes, I was adopted but found my biological family years ago.)
I miss old girlfriends and I think I still love every one of them. Is that great...or just sad? lol ...and I still mourn for a few friends...Kathy M. in particular. (heart-breakingly tragic...) But I am happy for those old loves who have found life without me tolerable. lol
