Fred Toft:  

Fred is widowed. Fred's schools include Shaw High School. Fred later attended THE Ohio State University - is there any other?. Have one daughter. Now lives in Orange County, California. After leaving OSU worked in radio broadcasting in Stamford and Bridgeport, Connecticut, then to WING in Dayton, WCLW in Mansfield, WLEC in Sandusky and WMNI in Columbus. Left Ohio for California where I worked at KCOP TV in Los Angeles. Eventually left broadcasting to do independent work in commercials, and voice over. Also worked on stage in musicals and then did some acting in TV and film. My last gig was "Pirates Of The Caribbean". Was also a manager for my daughter, Carolyn, who followed in my footsteps as a child actor, but gave it up to be a full time mother. Am now retired and managing my three grand children who are actors. Watch for my granddaughter, Cecilia Balagot, who plays the part of Smackle in "Girl Meets World" on the Disney Channel, where she has a recurring role. More to come! Update, December, 2014: Grand daughter, Cecilia, finished a pilot for Disney TV. No word as to whether or not Disney is going to pick up the pilot. Also, auditioned for another Disney pilot, but no word on that yet either. Also. she has been advised that she will be called back to appear as Smackle on "Girl Meets World", which has just started production for it's second season. Grandson Zachary is in his Junior year of high school at the prestigious Orange County School of the Arts. Zac is planning on a stage career. Ceci is also attending OCSA and is in 9th grade. Prior to GMW, Ceci also had a recurring role on "Desperate Housewives" as Grace, the little girl who got mixed up at birth. She has also appeared on the TV shows, "Playhouse Disney", "ER" and "How I Met Your Mother" as well as in over 25 commercials. My oldest grandson, Zachary, has also appeared in many commercials and had a recurring role on the sitcom "Mike and Molly". He has recorded many voice overs, but at present just wants to concentrate on theater. All of my family, my daughter, son in law and three grand children are all involved in local theater productions. The latest on my grand daughter, Ceci, is that Disney has not yet decided what they're going to do with the pilot she shot, so she is still under contract to Disney and awaiting their decision on what they are going to do with her. Mean while, my youngest grand son, nine year old Brendan, auditioned for and got cast in Musical Theater West's production of "South Pacific". This is a professional Actor's Equity Association theater company that is highly regarded here on the West Coast As of April, 2015, Disney decided not to pick up the pilot Ceci shot for them, however, she was then free to audition for other pilots, and was cast in another for Amazon and started working in pre production and shooting starting the week of March 30. Can't release any details until the producer officially does. She will also be free to continue work on "Girl Meets World" as Smackle and will be shooting an another episode some time in May. Mean while, we have been advised that her Amazon pilot will be ready for viewing around the end of June. The latest on my Granddaughter, Cecilia Balagot, is that the producer has finally released the details of her latest pilot she shot back in April. The pilot entitled "A History Of Radness" will be ready for viewing on Amazon at the end of June. She will be playing the part of Portia. We're hoping that it will get enough viewing that Amazon will "pick it up". She will also be appearing in her recurring role as Smackle on several episodes for the second season of "Girl Meets World" on the Disney Channel She will be shooting one episode in early June. Up date on Ceci, she will be shooting her next episode of "Girl Meets World" on the 10th of June, so look for her next appearance on TV in the near future. My granddaughter's pilot "A History of Radness" video for Amazon will be available for viewing, Free, beginning tomorrow if you are interested. The more views and favorable comments the video gets, the more Amazon will want to "pick it up". She plays the part of Portia! It's available on the Amazon site.
