Fred's Story
A couple of years after high school I joined the Air Force. I spent twenty year in the military and enjoyed all of it. Worked as a weather forecaster for 15 years and then moved on to become Geophysical Analyst for 5 years. The last job title seem rather ostentatious but all it boils down was we were trying to forecast solar eruptions and the likely effects on the earth environment. It was good 20 years. I saw a lot of the world. I was in Iran when the Shah fell, spent a year in a remote site in Alaska, Lived in Greece for 3 years, Japan for 18 months. Traveled extensively through Europe. After retiring from the Air force I had wide variety of careers. I was director of computing at Shoreline college north of Seattle also taught various computer related course in the evening...Expand for more
s. After a decade of that I started a small computer consulting company and had a good time doing that. Then I contracted with Microsoft to develop software application based on their Access Database. I gave retirement a try for two years but soon grew bored and thought I would try something entirely different. A became a long haul truck driver. The bloom came off that rose quickly and I quit after a few months. Their is no romance on the road! Then I went to work for Snohomish County Senior Services. That was an interest job. Got to help a lot on senior and disabled individuals. After a 5 year stint I finally settled into retirement for good. Now I dabble in day trading and read voraciously, play bridge and love tennis. Thats about it for me! Drop me a line if you want.
