Freda's Story
Life
If you remember me at all, you will remember a quiet girl of 18 who was ready to start life too early. I married the WEEK after graduation; had two sons before I was 20 and left my childhood behind quite abrubtly. That marriage ended in divorce but the husband I am with now (for 33 years) is my soul-mate. We have one twenty-nine year old daughter together and with my two sons and his two sons, that makes five children. We are grandparents now. In school, I was very much a part of the music program of 1969. Part of my involvement was assistance in the writing of the alma mater. I can remember very vividly being the "invisible person" playing the piano behind the stage curtains during the fashion show one year. Ah, the memories! I also remember Virgina and Maria Perez. They were such sweet friends. I hope they are well now. Another very specia...Expand for more
l person to me was Kris Moraga. She was never "too popular" to be real, at least where I was concerned. There are many more wonderful people in my memory. Lynn Peebles, Doug Doman, Linda Sharp, Larry Rowen, Yolanda Carrizosa, Patti Auxier, Kris Gray and others. I hope some of them remember me too. Currently, I am a second grade teacher in Woodburn, OR. Mine is the English half of a dual language classroom. Further involvement in education includes seven years as vocal music instructor for Laurelwood Elementary in Santa Clara, CA and 2 years as technology liaison for that school. I have 3 children and two step-children, three granddaugters and 7 grandsons. I'm happily married and living in Canby, OR. My husband retired in 2001. Although there have been many twists and turns in our lives, I can truy say that we have a good life and a great family.
