Frederick J.'s Story
Life
THEN: A skinny , change-the-world someday, Afro-wearing brother; I was the Mumford Capri '73 Yearbook Editor; an actor in many school plays in the Drama Club; M-Club (Varsity Track Team); a singer in the Men's Chorus; the Ski Club, and a writer on the Mumford Mercury newspaper staff.
After high school I graduated from the University of Michigan, and later, the University of Detroit Law School. For several years I produced and hosted the "For My People" talk show on TV and cable in Detroit.
NOW: A I-Wish-I-was-skinny-again, "Help mend the world one-life-at-a-time" Attorney, practicing all types of law to keep busy; from Probate, Divorce to Real Estate, and Entertainment Law, and criminal defense in my Detroit law firm.
I also pursued my dream journalism career for several years as a television news cam...Expand for more
eraman for CW-Channel 50 and CBS-TV62 News; traveling afar and seeing exciting action on the streets of Detroit each night, and delivering the REAL story. That is, until a forced retirement by corporate downsizing caused by the 9-11 attack. ...alas, big fun while it lasted!
These days, I am now finding new excitement by freelance producing, shooting and editing my own media projects, as well as representing musical talent, writers, video producers and a few TV newspeople, as their lawyer. Every so often you may even see me pop up as a guest commentator on a talk show.
Overall, I am mostly enjoying life! ...especially my much later role as "Daddy" to two wonderful little girls.
Thanks for checking up on me!
I'D love to love to be surprised by hearing from you and my other former friends and classmates!
