Frederick's Story
After graduating, I joined the Navy and spent 3 years seeing parts of the world I would not have otherwise seen. I went to places like Barcelona,Malta, Palma,Rome,Naples,Athens,Crete & Turkey. All this was good; however, when I joined the Navy to see the world, I had forgotten that a large percentage of the world is covered with water and I saw a lot of that. After getting out I came back to the area and found a construction job. I lived in Pennsauken for a couple of years before moving back to Moorestown with my family. I was soon to be divorced and I had my daughter to take care of, so my parents helped me out with that. As time went on I considered a career in Psychiatric Nursing. I had been working for the Ancora State Hospital for a year and discovered that I really enjoyed the interaction with staff and patients as well as the whole idea of taking care of the men on my ward. At about the time I was submitting my application for Nursing School, a "hyperactive" man put me in Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital for 7 days...Expand for more
. After some facial reconstruction and being released from the Hospital, I decided to pursue a more "gentle" career; Accounting.
I attended Camden County Community College for 2 years and majored in Accounting. I graduated in 78 with my Associates Degree. I worked in a few different places building up my experience and eventually landed at Union Carbide in Freehold where I worked as an Assistant Plant Comptroller until I went back on Active Duty. By that time I was living in Toms River,NJ and had been remarried. I was also a reservist with the Navy and switched to the Army National Guard in 85. I went back on Active Duty with the Army in 1986. I was in the Northwest when I retired in October 2003 and I moved to Hilbert, WI where I live with my wife. We have 5 Children(all grown of course)and a cat. We still have the cat. I am currently working as a school bus driver in Stockbridge, WI. Did I mention that there are only 1089 people in our town? I have a facebook account. Would love to chat with anyone from our class.
