Freya's Story
I retired from the State of Ohio as an Administrator, Chief of Management Services, after thirty-one and a half years, December, 2008. I enjoy retirement and now continue to do a lot of gardening, reading, playing tennis and bowling.
I have four grandchildren, the youngest is seventeen.
I'm beginning to miss being a part of the business world and am thinking about looking for a part-time job doing some kind of office work. I don't particularly want to manage people anymore, I've had enough of that stress.
I still live in Westerville, have been in the same house for twenty-six years and don't think I'll move at this late date. I do a lot of travel, but not as much as in the past. I've seen a lot of the world (Europe and the Far East) and most all of the United States ( not Oregon, Washington, Vermont, New Hampshire, Maine and Rhode Island).
I love basketball, tennis, football, and the Olympics.
If I could improve my home, I'd remodel the kitchen again and add on a bay window. My dream home would be a large ranch.

If I won $100 million, I'd give some of it to relatives and friends, then spend the rest on foster children, poor seniors and my church.
My current age is 69. When I was 12, I thought that people my age now would be dead. I was so completely in the dark.
My best friend would tell you I'm giving, but people who don't know me very well would probably describe me as reserved.
Yes, I like the classic, tailored look that never changes with time. I like designer clothing made out of beautiful fabrics.
I share my home with my husband, which I find enjoyab le.
I have many bowling trophies for high games (286 last year) and high series. I had a tennis trophy for singles.
In 10 years, I hope to be still alive. I'm going to get there by living right and eating healthy.
My first job was at Engineer Maintenance Center, where I got paid $250.00 a month to $350.00. What I remember most about it is I worked with older women.
Riding the ferris wheel the first time and how afraid I was. Sneaking into the Ohio State Fair every year.
