G's Story
Well it has been almost 30 years since we all graduated in 1969. Seems like forever to me. I can't find most of my old friends, none of us kept in touch very long. I never made it to any of the previous reunions. I never got to know who went to Viet Nam and who didn't return.
Perhaps I am just getting old and too nostalgic, but I wish I could do it over again. I would have made a ton of changes, of course like Peggy Sue I would have to have the knowlege I have now to make them, right?
I am single, kids all gone. Alone for the first time in my life which is very hard for me to accept.
I was a stay at home mom for so many years and did not have to work, and now I do.
I have started my own business as a Transgender Life Coach. At least I ...Expand for more
can make my own hours, and work mostly from home, and it fits right in with my abilities to talk. LOL
I live in Arizona now, hot as hell in the summer but at least not freezing to death in the winter.
At least I can fit my size 6 jeans which to me is a biggy. But I probably should hop into the dryer to shrink up the rest of me.
My oldest son lives near me and my oldest daughter lives in Arkansas. Presently I am helping my Mom go through transitioning to a smaller place nearer to me, she no longer drives so it is easier for us to help her out. But hard to watch your Mother age when she used to be so strong. But alas such is part of life.
I hope to touch base with some of my old friends, and if there is a reunion next year I hope to attend.
