g's Story

GAIL is single. GAIL's schools include Yarrow Elementary School. Many, many years ago. . . I grew up in a small town called Yarrow. It was a small friendly community with most of the population being immigrants to Canada, Mennonites, or just plain ole farmer folk. ;) I loved this little town and the Yarrow Elementary School I attended with my older brother Earl (who is now deceased) and my younger sister Barb. . . We had moved several times while living in Yarrow, but our main residence was on Central Rd. where we grew up with the McColm and Dersken families. So many fond memories of my childhood. When I was in Grade 7 my parents split and this is where a lot of my life gets very foggy. I attended several high schools, Abbotsford, Courtenay and Agassiz. . . I left school before I graduated. I ended up in Regina, Sk -- of all the places in Canada. . . only to return to school several years later to get my Grade 12 and go to College and University where I studied Administration and Accounting. ent and remained there for 5 years. Then after getting married and having 3 boys I returned to the workforce working for the Government of Saskatchewan. I lived there for over 25 years -- it took a lot of patience, character and stamina -- LOL My marriage also ended in divorce -- and I slowly moved back west. First to Alberta and now I live here in the beautiful Okanagan Valley. My heart is still on the coast and I really miss the ocean. My boys are grown and married and I live with my two little fur babies. . . whom I absolutely adore :) God is my source of strength. . . I found him along my travels and so glad I did. My mom and sister are a constant source of support for me. Life is definitely a journey, all those winding roads have a way of refining you and making you so grateful for all the people who have crossed your path and have added and even taken away from your life. . . because it has made me the person I am today :) And she lived happily ever after. . . chasing rainbows and falling stars and looking for adventures where she went. . .
