GREGG's Story

WOW I'm amazed at the number of people that have visited my profile (name) I wasn’t that popular while in high school. So off we go! After years of moving around the USA from NY (In the mid 70's and mid 80's) I live in the following City's in FL from North to South all on the east coast (I’ll do my best to try and remember all the city's on the east coast of FL, Daytona beach then Vero beach to West Palm beach to Boca Raton to pompano beach to North Lauderdale to Fort Lauderdale, to Plantation beach and a few more city's just north of Miami. While in FL I got in a lot of trouble with the police I hired a bail bondsmen, got out of jail and jumped the first plane to ILL were my older brother lived, I hung out there for a while but then I got in trouble with the police AGAIN, This time my brother hired an attorney the lawyer told me to disappear and I did just that, I went to MI. I stayed there a few months and hated it, I lived in the capital and collage City of Lansing Mi I'm sure there are more city's that I've forgotten after a short while in MI I headed back to NY, BUT I hated living under my stepmothers stern hand so off to CA (San Diego) then to Texas. "THE LONE STAR STATE" I moved here (TX) about 1981-1982. Just at the tail end of the last Oil Boom. I missed my big payday by about 6-7 months. I came down to Clear Lake city TX approximately 20 miles south of Houston. It is a very pretty area and the cost of living is nothing like anywhere I lived before. First we don’t have a state income tax! That’s like a 15 to 20 percent increase in pay before you even step on TX soil. Plus housing down here is cheaper then cheap. We live in a Custom made home just under 3000 livable, air conditioned, sq ft. It’s a two level home with 4 bedrooms 2.5 bath with a detached two car garage...Expand for more
original cost was 172k when I purchased it in 2005, if we were going to sell it it would price would be about 300K or somewhere within 100 to 105 a sq ft. FYI, since we live within 40 miles from the gulf of Mexico we have no basements the water table is too high. Anyway I met my one and only wife in mid to late 1982. After dating for more than 2 yr's while at a Steve Winwood concert, he was about to sing the song "BRING ME A HIGHER LOVE" Earlier I purchased two tee shirts that has that logo on it.(bring me a higher love” I turned to Melaudy( Pronounced ME-LA-DEE) and asked her to marry me, she said yes. She got a tee shirt and more we are still married to this day. We have one child, her name is Sydney she'd 19 yr’s old. This kid is amazing 180 degree's from me, she works almost full time as a(RDA) Registered Dental Assistant she's certified by the state of TX and goes to collage full time ( WE don't know how she does it) she's a High A student,(95 or about) and wants to be a Doctor. At 19 her brain is still a sponge once she hears something or read's it she never forgets. Sydney has NEVER studied a day in her life. I can't remember what her SAT score was but I do remember being called in to school with her teacher and counselor telling us what a very special kid she is, her SAT score was better than 90% of all kid's within both her grade and age group in the USA. Sydney is a VERY special child. Needless to say we are VERY proud of her That’s it for now, if there is something you want to know JUST ASK, I’ll get back with you Work for me has been all over the place I've been in sale for about 20 yr's working for GE(plastics) Makita Power tools, Ecolab chemicals , Debious chemicals Micros system's and more-- WAYYYYYYYY MORE Take care, stilling living in Katy TX Gregg Lane
