Gail's Story
I worked as a nurse for over twenty years and due to severe back pain and three spinal surgeries am now disabled. I've been married to my husband, Steve, for 30 years in 2011 and we have two children. I had a very difficult time actually having a family. My first pregnancy resulted in the stillbirth of identical twin sons. The second, a daughter with severe birth defects which we lost. now 21 year old son. My fourth pregnancy was an early miscarriage and ,finally, ending with a fifth pregnancy being another son. I had always wanted to be a mother (and a nurse). Matter of fact, that is exactly what I listed in the yearbook as my ambition. So, I did both. It wasn't easy having the children, but well worth it. They are my life. I guess I really did know exactly what I wanted even that far back in high school. Some things are worth the wait, and I certainly had to be patient!
