I currently work as an Assistant Project Manager for a civil engineering firm in Phoenix, sans engineering degree (I hate math but there is a certain geekiness about engineers that I find entertaining). I work in mostly planning and entitlements for large master planned communities (which as you can guess isn't doing much right now), so I also dabble in due diligence, research, and technical writing. In my former life in Minnesota I was an elementary school teacher in Roseville and White Bear Lake but had to give it up because the parents drove me nuts. Loved the kids, though. I have 2 sons. Cameron lives in Orlando. Ryan lives in Somerset. And I have one granddaughter - Ariana, born on St. Patricks Day, and is the light of my life. I know, cliche, but still true. I have also done some traveling in the past few years; Scotland, Italy, Hong Kong and Beijing. That last trip to Beijing was fascinating, and a little tense. I got detained at security while they took my passport and all my other ID and disappeared for nearly an hour while they "checked" me out...Expand for more
