Life After over 13 years in the USAF, I left the service during a Reduction in Forces. My job as a German Linguist disappeared when the Berlin Wall fell and Reunification was imminent. I have been very happily married for 26 years to a man I met at the armed forces language school in Monterey, CA (DLI) in 1979. We have two boys, ages 20 and 14, both born in W. Berlin, W. Germany where we were stationed for over 9 years on 2 tours. We were there when the Berlin Wall fell. I completed the equivalent of 2 years of college after leaving the service, but after several bouts with a pituitary tumor, brain surgeries, and radiation, ('93,96, and 97)I have not finished my education. We live in San Antonio, TX where we were last stationed with the AF. Pat is now retired, and works as a civilian in the same building he was last stationed at.
