Gail Anderson's Story

Life Wow,1970...Phew!...Some days it seems like just yesterday...others it feels like an eternity. In September 1970 I married Bob "Tiny" Eglit. Tiny and I had two beautiful children. Dawn was born in 1972 and Bobby 1975. We began our life in Katonah, NY and moved around a bit until 1981 when we settled in LaGrange, NY. I was lucky enough to be an at home Mom. I was always involved in the schools and my children's activities. I not only attended a national parent support group, but I ran meetings for over two years. I am a licensed nail technician. I had a home business for 10 years until I became allergic to the products. My favorite part of the job was hand painting sceneries and designs. I supported my husband with many successful endeavors, such as Harley's Only (Can you picture me dressed in a Slurpee or a Big Gulp costume dancing on Route 9?), Tiny's Outlaw Performance, HellFire Racing, and North East Timing Organization, also, known as N.E.T.O. I have four wonderful grandchildren, who I absolutely adore. I believe I was the first in our class to become a grandparent (May 25th, 1990). I enjoy day trips with my grandchildren. No other adults are allowed to come along. December 29th, 2012 I became a great grandmother. I now have a great son who was born April 2015. Another great grandson is due early May 2017, Tiny and I separated in 2002. I went back to school to become a certified phlebotomist while working as a school lunch lady. (I had no idea how hard a lunch lady works. Wow! Did we take them for granted.) I didn't get hired right away as a phlebotomist, so I then took a summer temp job working with adults with severe developmental disabilities. I loved the job and stayed. About a year later, I was promoted to assistant coordinator of our day hab program. This is where I am currently employed. This seems like a good time to thank all my friends and family who helped to prepare me for this position. I won't mention any names. ;) Shortly after separating from Tiny I connected with Bill Sheridan. He found me through Classmates.com. We were married on June 8, 2007. We are now divorced.....long story.... I am currently in a relationship with my high school Sweetheart, Bob Lough. .."My First, My Last, My Everything". Some of you may remember us as a couple. ittle about me in school. Did you know I was the oldest of 14 children? I was a quiet, shy, troubled abused kid. I am listed with NY State as a survivor of childhood sexual abuse. I have helped many others to become survivors. I have been diagnosed with PTSD. November 2011, I was diagnosed with an autoimmune disease called Sjogren's Syndrome. I now know I have had this at least 15 years, probably longer. When I had a bowel resection done in 2008 my Sjogren's flared up and became much worse. The doctors seem to know very little about Sjogren's. I learn from websites and forums and then educate my doctors. July 2013 brought me Lyme Disease and Folic acid and B-12 deficiencies. I truly thought I was dying. I now, also, have Vitamin D deficiency, but all in all, I'm doing okay. I collect angels and music boxes. If you feel you could use help hearing your angels I may be able to teach you how to listen. I enjoy my music boxes when I am home alone. Occasionally, I will share them as a special time with a grandchild. We listen to them one at a time and then wind them all up as fast as we can. I wouldn't change a thing about my life. It was in God's plan, and it has all made me who I am today. I am very happy with the person I have become and where my life is today! Thank you to those of you who have stuck by me through all the years. I would enjoy hearing from old friends and classmates. Please feel free to write me. I will do my best to respond. In the meantime, please remember: "We are, each of us, angels with one wing and we can only fly by embracing one another." ~Lucian de Crescenzo "Angels, always present and aware of our needs, are most humble. They do not interfere in our lives unless we invite them to do so. They usually communicate with us in the silence of our interior understanding: we "hear" angels with our hearts." -Janice T. Connell, "Angel Power" "Imagine your angel is sitting opposite you right now. Close your eyes, breathe in deeply and imagine your angel's golden light of love is filling your heart." Margaret Neylon "When my life is through and the angels ask me to recall the thrill of them all, Then I shall tell them I remember you." -John Mercer, "I Remember You" Joy is the light that fills you with Faith, Hope, and Love. God Bless! (((Hugs))) and Love to all
