After graduation I spent one semester at Brandywine College in Delaware but dropped out to marry and moved to Coranado, California. That marriage lasted three years and produced two children, Carrie and Craig. So there I was twenty one, divorced and two children. I had to do something fast to support us. I went to Taylor Business in Plainfield which gave me the skills to become a secretary at Rutgers University in September, 1974. I worked hard at Rutgers, attended Middlesex County College, served on the Board of Directors of United Way of Central Jersey and raised two great kids. My career at Rutgers lasted 28 years, moving up from Secretary at the Labor Education Center to Assistant Director of the Center for Management Development to Program Administrator for Nutritional Sciences.
