Gale's Story
First came to PCHS in 1976 as part of the School Exchange with Hayes School in Kent, England. Stayed with the Galford family in Dunmore, Bernard, Madeline, Cindy and Bill. Had the most wonderful time with them and at school - school seemed really strange but in a good way! Returned again in 1978 when Cindy was a senior and again had a brilliant time and didn't want to go home at the end of the visit! Last time I was in Dunmore was in 1984 when I had returned for a wedding and tragically ended up going to a funeral. I often think of the time spent in WV and particularly with the Galfords and of PCHS. I look at all the photos and the yearbook and remember familiar faces. e to reconnect with her or anyone who remembers me! A health scare a couple of years ago has made me much more aware of keeping in contact with those who have been of significance in your life. If it is useful in placing me I was with my friend Christine Vernon and she stayed with Teresa Taylor and her family, there were two other Hayes School students on the trip, another girl and a boy Andrew (I think) who were a year or so older than Christine and I - we were 14.
I live in Oxfordshire, England with my husband of 21 years, Adrian and our 9 year old daughter Abbey plus a small menagerie of cats, dogs and lizards. Spent all my career ( over 28 years) in Government service finally leaving as a Senior Personnel Manager to spend my time as a full time mum.
