Galen's Story

High since high school i have served in the military as a marine been a laboratory x-ray technician, welder, 500 punch press operator, machinist, retired and know work at Hornaday manufacturing doing machining. i retired for two years from new Holland machinery with a good pension after being there 33.5 years then after the two years i decided i needed more money to do some of the things i would like so i went back to work. I always wanted to be a nfl football player when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was a crazy idea. As it turns out, they were wrong is should have pursued it.. the weirdest job i ever had was working in a horse stable my last 6 months in the marines. what i do to relax -bowl watch TV. wildest thing i ever did in school threw tires over the school flag pole well maybe not the wildest thing. If I'm going to work somewhere, I need to have free time, lots of leeway, and good money to be able to deal with the day-to-day. my hero is Kenneth Copeland because he lives what he preach. I have lived in Grand Island, Ne. for 7 years then we move to Alda, Ne. and have lived there every since, we moved to get a bigger house for our kids and cheaper taxes. The one person from my past who I'd most like to see again is BILL WEBB, because WE WHERE GOOD FRIENDS IN SCHOOL. MY OBSESSIONS ARE FOOTBALL, NE. TYPE, BOWLING, STOCK CAR RACING. My biggest surprise in life is that after 37 + years i am still married to the high school sweetheart. If I could improve my home, I'd remodel bathroom and add on a bigger bowling shop. My dream home would be 4000 squared foot and have a big 6 car garage with room for my bowling shop.. i learned patience from my kids and that they grow up fast plus they teach more about patience the teacher i would love to see again would be Mrs. br...Expand for more
own to show her i could succeed in life. If I won $100 million, I'd give 20% of it to God, then spend the rest on new home, race car and new vehicles and help my kids with there houses. I lived in a dorm in medical school for lab tech and loved it of course we broke a lot of rules like having a keg of beer in the refrigerator all the time. My current age is 59. When I was 12, I thought that people my age now would be old as dirt and dead. I was so completely wrong i am very young at this age. my first crush Beth Munson married some guy and before that my present wife somehow go to me to go with her instead. My best friend would tell you I'm soft hearted, but people who don't know me very well would probably describe me as gruff, rude, standoffish. i do not dress like 10 or 20 years ago i am more casual now and more relaxed. I share my home with my wive, which I find great and blest to have.. several race car trophies and bowling trophies. winning the grand island bowler of year top ten in both senior and regular divisions and placing in the top 5 in the bowlers journal national seniors tournament. If i could do something over i would have gotten a 4 year college degree. In 10 years, I hope to be retired. I'm going to get there by saving. my oldest friend is in Wichita, ks. bill Riley and we met in high school my other one is tom mason who is a pastor in the salvation army or captain as they say. I don't think there would be much of a surprise for people i have not changed much i am a lot mellower then i use to be. My first job was at neighbers ranch, where I got paid .50 and hr. to move livestock. What I remember most about it is the guy bert orr who liked to drink whiskey a lot.. when i was two a man came into our house with a shot gun looked at us turned around and ran out.
