Ganelle's Story
I got married in 1965, I married a young man from East Mountain, this year we will be married 43 years, we had one child a Girl. We have lived in White Oak for 40 years, our child graduated from White Oak. She married a young man from Spring Hill, she worked in the Spring Hill School System, she worked with children with disabilities, she had two children a boy and a girl and they both go to Spring Hill, her son is in High School and her daughter is in the fifth grade. Her son plays all sports. We lost her to cancer in 2006 at the age of 39. Her little family has been so blessed to live in Spring Hill, I have never seen People rally around anyone and take care of a family like the people have in Spring Hill, she had so many friends in the school and the First Baptist Church, that took such good care of her and the family, they will never know how much it ment to us. If you go to any of the sports games you will always see my husband their hollering for his grandson. so I got to see them and visit with them before Mr. Gray died, I don`t think I got to see Mrs. Gray after he passed away. In Grade school Mrs Davis and Mrs Harris made a great impact os my life,I probably should have gone back sometime and told them. The wildest thing I ever did in school was skipped school and went to a track meet in Kilgore. I have know Idea what happened to my first crush. I hope they remember me as being a nice person. To be trully happy would be to have all of my family that has died back, and all of us sitting around the table talking and laughing, those were the good times. I always thought I would be able to work till I was at least 70 or 80 but I had to quit work in1996 because of health problems and go on disability, which is no fun at all. I am not able to go very many places,because I can`t walk very far, and breathing problems, I mostly go to the Doctors office and Church, and visit family members. I have no idea what I would do if I had one do-over, that is something I would have to really think about. I cant think of a weird job that I had.
