U.S. Navy 7 1/2 years following graduation. Fireman City of El Cajon for 2 1/2 years after discharge from Navy. Started taking journalism courses while firefighter. Back to school full time working part time + GI Bill to help raise two daughters. Graduate San Diego State 1975. . Award-winning writer in education and sports, but proudest achievement are my 2 wonderful daughters, Laura and Linette because they're good people. Divorced twice.
