Gary's Story
Left Buchser High in my junior year of 1974 and didnât stay the senior year due to family moving to Modesto. Modesto was cool as American Graffiti was based on it. I bought a 1957 Chevy and did the cruising thing for a bit. There was only 50k people here in 1975 but now over 200k. Finally landed a good job at Proctor and Gamble and stayed until retirement. f they still had year books. He said they had 1971, 1972 and 1974. I drove down and picked them all up for $15. I went to Joaquin Miller junior high in 1969 and 1970. I also called them to see if they had the year books for those years. I was shocked to find they did. I also drove there and got them for free. Most of the people looked so different from how I remembered them. I plan on attending a reunion at Buchser one day to see some classmates again.
