forced to retire from the ministry in 1997 with a profound loss of hearing. However, in May of 2003 I received a Cochlear Implant from University of Michigan, miraculously restoring my hearing, and enabling me to go back to work. I have now retired for the second time. In my spare time I work in the yard at home or at the lake, as well as in my woodshop. And yes, I am still a readaholic. I enjoy cooking as well. Marge and I have two wonderful children; Dan(married to Melissa Hartog) and Renee'(married to Aaron Warren). We also have four unbelievable grand children. Dan and Melissa have two boy's; Jacob and Nathan. Renee' and Aaron have 2 lovely daughters, Gabrielle and Tori. My wife finally retires Aug. 30, 2011, after 18 years as Managing Supervisor for Michigan Professional Credentialing Verification Service.
