Gary's Story
Life
I spent 10 years in the Army, from April 1982 to June 1992. I met my wife while stationed at Fort Campbell, Kentucky in 1983. We've lived in the U.S., Germany (West Germany at the time) and Greece. All 3 of our children were born while in the military. 1 in Pennsylvania (Brandon), 1 in Germany (Aurora), and 1 in Kansas (Matthew). After leaving the Army I worked for a Department of Defense contracter for a short time then became a federal civilian. on Battalion, and currently the U.S. Army Intelligence and Security Command. As of October 2008 I've returned to school to work on my Masters degree in Business Administration. I live in Madison County Virginia and when not working I spend my time on Skyline Drive, at Lake Anna, or at home. My daughter (Aurora) died in a car accident in September, 2004. My youngest son (Matthew) got married in May 2008 and is living in Madison County. My oldest son (Brandon) got married in 2006 and is the father of my first grandchild (Lariana). Grandchildren, makes you feel old, huh?
