Gary's Story

After being "down-sized" in 2002, I soon realized nobody was looking for a 51 yr old tech support engineer with limited skill set. So I figured after being a rec softball ump for 20 yrs and a high school ump for 2, I'd try it full-time using my ump contacts. I now extensively ump HS girl's fast pitch, some baseball, rec-league softball, high school volleyball & boy's & girl's basketball. Keeping very busy doing that. han in my high school days. Have officiated Kimball volleyball & softball games, but not recently and not since the new gym was opened a year or two ago, although I've officiated at Shrine's new fieldhouse several times. Maybe I'll ask my assignors to send me to Kimball for basketball or volleyball. In late 80's-early 90s, when I still lived in RO, I officiated youth hockey at Lindell arena, so if anyone had kids playing then, I was reffing.
