Gary's Story
1969-1972: Attended University of Illinois at Urbana my 1st year, then transferred and graduated from "Circle". B.A. in Communications.
1972: Father died. Passed my Army draft physical, but lucked-out and wasn't called.
1972-1976: Worked a few jobs.
1976-1981: 1st "real" job as a loan officer at Northwest Federal Savings at 6 Corners.
1981-1982: Was laid-off, so packed my van and pointed it West and traveled and camped the Southwest and West.
1983-1985: Returned from the West and worked as a loan manager for a couple of mortgage brokers.
1985: Got married. Got a house. Got bills. Left...Expand for more
mortgage loan production and entered real estate appraisal.
1987: Started my own appraisal firm.
1988: My daughter, Kelley, was born.
1991: My son, Jake, was born.
1992-2005: One long blur.
2001: Attained 1st degree (Sho-Dan) Black Belt in Karate.
2005: Closed my appraisal firm and joined the appraisal staff of Washington Mutual.
2007: Mother died.
01/29/2009: "Forced retirement" from Washington Mutual.
06/01/2009: Re-established my real estate appraisal shop.
05/2010: My daughter graduates College.
07/2010: Called back to Washingon Mutual, now Chase Bank.
05/2014: My son graduates College.
