Gary's Story
Since TAM I have worked in radio (just "playing the hits!"), business/political consulting/non-profit (specializing in long term strategic planning, capitalization, compensation/HR for executive and management.) Radio was really fun, especially while working in LA, Ron Blasingame was my newsperson (under the on-air-name, Ron Knight.) Got a chance to spent several years working in TV (mostly live,) TV production and stage management, and the live entertainment business too, even did some concert promotion. Most of my employee work life I have been in some form of marketing with a specialty in operations. I started a cellular technology company with four other guys in 1993 but had to leave it when I had two heart attacks in 1997. er becoming a Christian in 1983. Major life failings; married twice, but with my second wife we have three tremendous kids; Rebecca is 25, a probation officer and married with my first granddaughter Penelope aka Penny coming in 12/08; Rachel is an RN, married and recently gave me my first grandson Bradon (I call him, "Little Man";) the apple of my eye, my son Matthew is in college. Since my heart attacks I have been retired so life has slowed down a lot. Take care of your body; your health will catch up. Lastly, please keep in mind what American poet, Maya Angelou wrote, "I've learned that people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel." After 40 years, I still feel really good about my TAM time, and those beloved friends.
