Gary's Story
Life
After surviving high school, I tried college for a year or so. I wasn't ready to buckle down to more schooling, so before the draft caught up with me, I joined the AF. After learning a little discipline and seeing the world, it was time to move on with my life. After having spent 20 years moving around in the Air Force, I went back to school in California and finally settled outside of Boise. I am currently working for HP as a computer engineer/consultant for the large Unix computer systems. Hope to be around long enough to get back for the 35th reunion.
School
Toughest time in my life. I don't think I grew up until I'd been away from home and school for about 5 years. Nothing like moving into a community that has known each other since birth and trying to fit in with them. That and trying to find myself along the way.
College

best partying days. However, the school and I had different goals at the time. I didn't get serious about going back to school full time until 1991 after retiring from the Air Force. Then I finished the BS and MBA all at one shot. Too bad I wasted so many years getting to that point. Always wondered what happened to the friends I hung out with in Eau Claire. The mud slides, beer busts, protests, and occasional classes - ahh the good old days.
Military
Military people who played a pivitol role in my life - Charles Ferranti, Dave Armentrout, John Helkey, Grover Cassada, Mary Moore - Lots of other friends and acquaintences who were/are important and with whom I shared a lot of good times. I spent a lot of time moving from place to place, 10 different installations in 20 years. Lackland, Keesler, Scott, Sheppard, Kirkland, Vandenburg, Kunsan, Bitburg, Randolph, Los Angeles. - and many stops in between.
