Gary's Story
I have had an interesting journey over the years. Never did go to work in the aviation industry, but spent 30 years in the automotive industry before retiring and moving on to other business endeavors. I did learn to fly and aviation remains an interest and a hobby. All that Color Guard stuff I did back at Aviation came in handy as I progressed through the command ranks of the USAF Aux., CAP. rrassing moment toward the end of our Freshman year.... having just been appointed Captain of the Color Guard, during my first time on stage at assembly, at the exact moment I gave the command to "present arms", my voice cracked and this high pitch sound I have never heard since came out of my mouth! The entire assembly burst into laughter, but I maintained my composure and somehow managed to recover...LOL
