Gary's Story
After a FUN summer of '66 (working and beach time) started at Cerritos in the Fall. Transferred to CSULB. Joined the Army 1970 - 1973. In counter intelligence, Army schools included Vietnamese language. In '71 Army decided to send me to Japan rather than Vietnam. Met my wife, Barbara, in Japan - a teacher from North Dakota. Married 42 years now, two sons. Career in safety engineering and risk management took us to San Diego for 18 years, then to Texas in 1995 to help with corporate business expansion. We like Texas (I was born in Oklahoma - not far ...Expand for more
from us now), and life is good. I have great memories of "our" Norwalk years. I have traveled through over the years to see family. Driving through the neighborhoods and past the Schools brings a smile - I admit to being sentimental! I was just in Norwalk in October 2015. It's different but the same! I wish you all the best of life - may you continue to enjoy the "adventure" ! I will look forward very much to seeing you all in October. In July we will be in North Dakota for Barbara's 50th (Class 66) reunion.
All the best to you all,
Gary Robertson
