Gary's Story

Gary is from Phoenix, Arizona. His schools include Alhambra High School. He later attended Arizona State University and is a member of the ASU Alumni Association. He works as Writer. It's been a long time since 1967. I joined the Marines right out of high school, went to Vietnam and was wounded twice in combat. ucky one. I've been a widower since 2005. I worked my way through college as a writer and I'm still a writer. I write novels now and have been very successful. My novel, The Warrior, has been a best seller and is available on Amazon.com It can be viewed at my website garytillman.com I am anxious to hear stories about other people from Alhambra. Go Lions and go ASU. This weekend (January 19-20, 2013) I a™m going to race at Firebird International Raceway south of Phoenix. It is a road race course with 14 turns and 3 straight aways, requiring multiple gear changes and break-neck speeds up to 150 mph. This is the same course I spun out at 135 mph toward a hard concrete wall. What fun! I always say that living close to the edge makes me a more honest an insightful writer. We'™ll see.
