Gary Tillman:  

Gary is from Phoenix, Arizona. His schools include Alhambra High School. He later attended Arizona State University and is a member of the ASU Alumni Association. He works as Writer. It's been a long time since 1967. I joined the Marines right out of high school, went to Vietnam and was wounded twice in combat. I was awarded the Combat Action Ribbon, a Presidential Unit Citation for defense of jungle combat base against the NVA (which out numbered us ten to one), and a lot of other worthless medals. Vietnam was a terrible place, but I'm proud that I personally faced combat as a soldier for my country.
