Gary's Story
Life
after high school I became an auto mechanic and married my high school sweet heart lois maus in 1978. we purchased a house in burlington twp. before our wedding and lived there for 21 years. during that time lois and I had 2 boys, gary michael born in 1981 and mark david born in 1984. I became disabled in 1991 due to a back injury which required 3 surgeries that did not help. in 1999 we moved to jacksonville florida because the warmer weather helps with my back pain. it took awhile but we got used to living down here, lois is working with ...Expand for more
disabled children at the elementary school and I try keeping myself busy doing small things around the house that my back allows me to do. I also do woodworking when I can, such as making furniture and wood crafts. we both miss family and friends but the benifits of living down here for me overcome that. we have been living in our new house for close to 7 years now and we love it. for anyone that remembers I held on to my 1957 chevy, but sold it recently because I wanted to do a frame off restoration but could not because of my back injury.
