Gary Dunn:  

After high school I went to NAU for 3 years off & on until I made the Dean¿s List; unfortunately it was the wrong list. I took a trip in 1971 up the AlCan highway to Alaska with a buddy for a month and a half while I tried to figure out what I was going to do with my life. Upon my return to Phoenix, I worked, partied and partied some more for a couple of years. I finally got my act together and went back to school and graduated from ASU in engineering in 1976. I worked in Upland, CA for 1 ½ years after graduation (which I hated) then I moved back to Phoenix. I reconnected with Talley after 8 years of off and on dating and we were married in 1978. Our first son was born in Phoenix in 1982. As I saw Phoenix turning into the megatropolis that I hated in southern California, we both quit our jobs and moved to Prescott in 1985. Our second son was born in Prescott in 1987. After 4 years of self-unemployment, I was rescued by a call offering me my current job in southern Oregon. As Talley states, this is where God will be building his retirement home. We have been here for 20 years and have no intention of ever leaving.
