Gary's Story
Life
Enlisted in the Navy in 1960. Graduated from Cal-Western 1976 BS Business, Finance major, Psychology minor (CUM Laude 3.68 GPA). Retired as a Naval Officer 1980. Retired from State of Oregon as Electrical Inspector in July of 2000. I retired from St Anthony Hospital as the supervising electrician. I am the presently the Electrical Inspector for the Confederated Tribes of the Umatilla and Chief Electrical Inspector for the City of Pendleton. I am really going to retire. I am married and have only grown children (2) and 11 grandchildren and 4 great grand children, of which the oldest grandchild graduated from college and some of the rest are still in college..
College
I started college to learn something. It led me from psychology (didn't pay, no future even in the higher fields) and then to Business (marketing to finance) and I learned I enjoyed the atmosphere so much I would do it for a living if I could (go to college).
I made the mistake of smoking when I was younger and now pay for it with emphysema. 30 years ago I quit but the damage was done."Live and learn"
