Gary's Story

Life Well hello!!!!!! After I finished or graduated from P.V.H.S I went to A.S.U. I only lasted for 1 semester because I felt so lost in such a big place. I received a music scholarship from Colorado State, so I went there for 2 years. I continued my music studies and received many opportunities to perform with people such as Doc Severnson, Blood Sweat & Tears, Neil Diamond, and many more. I then decided to enlist in the Army. That was in 1975. I went into the highest ranked band that gets to perform all around the world. That was a great experience! I decided to get out in 1981 because I was homesick. I needed to get back to my roots. I still played around town in restaurants and bars, & still do. Now I am semi retired and love to fish, whenever I can. I give music lessons to students, and 1 of my students just got a full scholarship to A.S.U.!!!!! I have been married 3 times and divorced 3 times!! I have 2 great kids that I am very proud of. My son is in the Coast Guard, and my daughter is a Senior in high school. They both have extremely high G.P.A.'s. Well if any of you want to contact me, here I am! 07/17/17 Well, I'm still alive so I thought that I would continue where I left off. I continued in the biker world for a few more years, riding everywhere. Went to every bike rally West of the Mississippi. Went to work for the State where I recently retired from. I am now living in the mountains of Prescott National Forest. Never did remarry after the 3rd wife. 3 strikes and your out, right??? I enjoy the mountains and the peaceful life up here with my 3 dogs. I do a little prospecting, and I traded in my 2 wheeler f...Expand for more
or a 4 wheeler. I never thought that I would do that. I guess after 3 heart attacks and 4 bypasses, I finally realized that I'm getting too old for the party lifestyle of a biker. I really love the mountain life. Fresh air, hiking, and of course riding my quad. My cardiologist seems to think that this new lifestyle is good for me! LMAO!!! My nearest neighbor is a mile away, and that is GREAT! Well, now that I've updated my profile, if anyone is interested in getting away from it all for the weekend or longer, get in touch with me on this site, and I'll draw you a map to my new home. Lots to see and do here, if you like nature. Until my next update, take care. Well, here it is 5/28/2019. Didn't we graduate on 5/28/71 or thereabouts? I don't live on my mountain anymore. I made it through the Goodwin fire, after being evacuated. I spent 10 days at the Red Cross Evac Center, and when I was finally allowed back on the mountain, after much thought, I decided to move to Chino Valley. It's really pretty here, and it's a small town. Lots of farms and ranches. My kind of place! I opened a small antique shop here, and it has been an experience that I never thought possible. I never would have dreamed that I would be a shopkeeper! I also have a small farm, and between the two, it's enough to keep me out of trouble. I heard that our 50th reunion is going to be combined with the class of "69, and it is going to be held on October 5 of this year. Wow, 50 years! Seems like a lifetime ago!!! I hope to attend if the Good Lord is willing. It will be fun to hear some of your stories of the past 50 years! Until next time, take care. Gary
