Gary's Story
Life
After 5 years in the army (63-68) I went back to college and got my teaching credential and worked in elementary school for 31 years. I taught for 15 years and was a principal for 16 years. Most of that time I was in Elk Grove, CA. I took early retirement to help care for my ailing parents in 2001. Both of whom have since deceased. I remarried in December, 2008 after my youngest son had graduated from HS and now live in Eugene, Oregon. My oldest son will be 24 in Ja...Expand for more
nuary and my youngest is 20, in the USAF and currently stationed in Germany. I was a single parent for 16 years. My current hobbies include playing some golf, traveling as much as possible, and fishing on occasion. (Updated March 27, 2011)
Ever since my time in the army people have known me as Dean, which is my middle name. However, "old" friends and family still call me Gary which is just fine with me. Heck, I've been called a lot of things now that I think about it. :)
