Gena's Story
Life
I graduated from Illinois State University in 1998. I started teaching English at Mahomet-Seymour High School right outside of Champaign, IL. I met my husband, John, in July of 2000 and we were married in September 2001. We live in McHenry and I was teaching English as a Second Language and regular English classes at McHenry West High School until I had our son. Jackson was born in January 2005 and I have been home with him ever since.

Now my time is spent keeping up with his fun toddler ways. Being a mom has been so much more enjoyable than I ever thought it would be. I also run and just started taking Pilates. I try and run at least one road race a month and am thinking about doing the Disney World Marathon in January 2007. If I chicken out, then I'll settle for the Disney Half-marathon the day before.
