Gene's Story
Life
After graduation from DHS I enlisted in the US Navy and spent some time in Viet Nam. After being honorably discharged in 1968 I returned to Danville and began my career with General Motors where I went through a millwright apprenticeship and into the maintenance department as a skilled tradesman. I also worked as an infrared thermographer. In 1980 I spent some time in Europe with the US Army and worked in investigations and also for the US Customs service. I returned in 1986. closed, I was transferred to Reno, NV., where I currently live and love it. I am married to a former Paris High Scool, U of I graduate, Elizabeth Stafford. She retired from the Illinois Department of Education and now is a librarian in a private high school here in Reno. We both have 2 children, grown and on their own. Anyone is welcome to write to me or if you are coming to Reno, let me know. I know the sights and if you gamble, the best place to go for that or the best meals in the West. Sincerely, Gene
