Gene's Story
I'm sure that most of you remember me from all of my drag racing, playing in bands, and just being an overall jerk. I must admit that I used a lot of people and treated every girl that I dated in a way that I am not very proud of. I finally grew up and realliliazed that it wasn't all about me. If if hurt any of you, and I'm sure I did, please forgive me. I'm not the same person as I once was.
I am still married to Lorene Osburn from Hazlehurst, (can you believe that?). We have two children and two grandchildren. I gave up booze and drugs in Jan of 1975 and became a christian a month later. I had to give up the band later, because you can't play and stay sobor. I miss playing, but I don't miss the lifestyle. I still fool around with fast carswhen I when I can afford it ( My daily driver is 1995 Mustang Cobra conv.) I've had several others, but had to sell them for my medical treatments, (I fought lymphomia for four years, now it has left me with CFIDS, which the Drs,say I should revocer within another month, This costs me about $2K per month which insurance isn't covering, so needless to say, I am about broke, but somewere, God keeps sending it each month.
