Gene's Story

I retired from Concordia Parish School Board as Sales Tax Collector and moved to the Baton Rouge area with my wife, Sharon. She is retired from the Livingston Parish School Board. Retirement really didn't work for me, so I started my own oil and gas lease acquisition business, Sandpoint Leasing, LLC. This work keeps me on the road most wee...Expand for more
kdays, but I really enjoy it. My daughter, Hannah, is one year away from being a nurse practitioner and her husband, Jon Altomar, is in his last year as a surgical resident at UM Medical Center. My son, Louis, passed away in 2003. I have four grandchildren Joseph, Jacob, Seth, and Chloe. I never knew being a grandparent could be more fun.
