Gene's Story
Life
I attended my freshman year of high school at Willard High School in Willard, OH. My sophmore year I attended Berwick High School in Berwick, LA. My junior and senior year I attended and graduated from Bradley Central High School in Cleveland, TN.
After H.S. (known to my family as the "restless years"), I worked as everything from a studio musician, cook, salesman, pizza delivery guy, stock clerk, grocery mgr, nurse tech, repair shop mgr and janitor to a graphics artist.
I attended CSCC, then Tomlinson College and played tennis and basketball. In my down time I tinkered with computer programming & design and had found my niche.
I worked in the IT dept for TVA and served as the IT Director for a national dot-com company until just three years ago. Weary of being in different cities six months a year and missing seeing my kids grow up, I opened a consulting business in 2003 ...Expand for more
and have since added a Marketing & Logistics business.
I am married to my best friend Tina, whom I met at Bradley on a double-date(she wasn't my date). We have a son and daughter both active in the band at Walker Valley H.S. When not at school, they both work in my business and also participate in the music program at Peerless Road Church along with myself.
I am looking forward to: Aug 2 Opening on keys for the Dave Matthews Band at the House of Blues Blossom Music Center. Dec 27 Going with my kids to London for New Years.
Neat experiences: Taking a new-years trip in Dec '06 with my family to London. Being the nurse that brought my high school friend Jennifer (Blackwell) Goza her daughter when she was born - Being in Vegas with pianist Richard Glazier and, while there, getting to play Liberace's famous mirrored piano. Getting to play onstage before Doyle Dykes and Larnelle Harris.
