Geneva's Story
I married when I was a senior, that lasted about ten years, we had a son, and we moved to Indiana.
After we divorced, I met a man from Pennsylvania and moved there to be married. He had 2 boys and we raised the 3 boys, drifted apart and divorced. I went to nursing school, the best thing I ever did except having my son. I have several relatives in Las Vegas, so I moved here a few years ago. I am a clinical supervisor in an inner city hospital on a med/surg unit. Usually love my job. I am now married to my first love, Mike, he was Lafayette class of 67 and it only took us 32 years to reconnect. But it is all good. We have a dog, a cat, lots of fish, and a koi pond. We love to travel, have explored most of the desert southwest,parts of Mexico, a few Hawaiian islands and are going to Costa Rica in the spring. ...Expand for more
I love San Francisco, miss rain, don't miss ice, but kinda miss snow.
I am a news junkie, enjoy researching my family history, I still read a lot, sew some and love to cook, my waistline and big old hips will attest to that. I try to visit KY about every 2 years or so, Mike has children and grandchildren there. My son lives in the
DC area, works for the Federal Govt and hasn't blessed me with grandchildren.
I also love sports. I actually schedule my working hours around football season!! I am an avid Steeler fan, lived in the Burgh for ove 20 years so its gotta be the Black and Gold. I still love UK basketball, who doesn't?
In the next few years, I plan to retire, nurses never really retire, but I want to travel more, move somewhere that I can garden and maybe raise orchids, and certainly raise tomatoes!!
