Genise's Story

I was in the ecology club and on the school paper. You all called me a"freak". I tried to start my own underground paper. I had the only real letter from my parents, excusing me from school to attend an anti war protest march at Kent State U. I was a vegetarian and always had carrots in my lunch. I was voted the most likely to live on a commune and grow carrots. Sorry, that never happened. My best friends in high school were Jill Foresman and Anne-Marie Pauls. I apologize if I forgot anybody. I am married to my fourth husband Danny. Wow, lots of unsucces...Expand for more
sful ones. Danny and I have been happily married to each other for 16 years. I graduated from the University of Wisconsin with a Masters Degree in Social Work and Psychology in 1980. Then I moved back to Texas, which is where I was born. My parents moved to Austin, then I did and my sister, Ginger also did. I am still here after 30 years. I have one son who is 23 years old. I worked as a Counselor in private practice for 30 years before I was forced to retire early due to disability. I have fibromyalagia syndrome, which causes widespread pain and fatigue.
