Geoffrey's Story
After High school, I played in a band called Cathederal.
But like so many bands it came to an end, and I had to think hard about a career.
I enlisted in The Marines in 1980, when I got out I went to work at Colvin Pontiac as an A.S.E. Master Tech.
I also obtained a degree in Audio Engineering to compliment and supplement my desire to stay involved in music.
I still play in a classic rock band!
At 20 I joined the Marines, completed basic traing, but was given an honrable discharge because of a previous back injury.
So irony of irony,s I went back to pursuing a career in music. I attended Metro State here in Denver, getting a two year 'degree', whilst working as a he...Expand for more
avy line mechanic for Colvin Pontiac/GMC, until they went out of busines. I played in a number of A and B bands throughout the eighties, spending much time on the road.
I also worked for two Porsche dealers, one independent Porsche shop involved in racing 917/10's and finally Jim Hudson Chevrolet up in Silverthorne until 1989.
My father was suffering emphysema and had suffered a somewhat botched surgery, and after some discussion I was asked to move back to Lakewood to help take care fof him.
One of the reasons for moving away from Lakewood for so long was my fiancee was killed in a car accident in '84., but I certainley felt the need to help my family so back I came.
