More about George:"Born in Superior, Arizona 72 miles west of Phoenix, complete name was George Salazar. Adopted by Ralph G. Barnett in 1956, name changed in 1959-60. Wife of 47 years, Gloria Valdez raised in the "Marcos". We fell in love at first sight when she visited Grant School to welcome us going from 7th grade to 8th at Lowell. Phoenix Union High School graduating in 1966. Phoenix College 1966 to mid-school year 1968, transferring to the UofA where I graduated with a B.S. with Honors in 1973. Now working with Gloria to benefit others as we were helped by Dra. Vega, Dr. Jose de Jesus Vega, Robert A. Dye, Graciela Gil Olivarez, Leroy Vigil, all great caring mentors.".
