George's Story
Went from "tie wearing guy" at CHS to being "homeless guy": kicked-out of the house by my parents 2 days after graduation. Seems we didn't see eye-to-eye... and my parents were fed up with my 4.0 GPA, non-partying, rebellious ways.... LOL.
Lived with some friends for awhile before heading to LA to live with my uncle. After a few months, I moved back in the Lompoc area and got a job in Santa Barbara with a company that did work with factories in Taiwan, Singapore, Hong Kong, and Japan. I stayed with them for 10 years - even when they moved to Seattle, WA. I found my wonderful wife working at the office of a sales company in Taipei, Taiwan during this time.

the twins(!) were born, we moved to the SF Bay-area when the dot com bubble almost burst - and got caught in the burst but found a couple of companies looking for someone with Asian manufacturing experience. A couple of companies later, still traveling to Asia (this time mostly to China), I wound up at Apple.
The twins (boy, girl) are now 16 and heading to college in 2017 - and I'm looking forward to down-shifting the career and putting all my business travel on hold once the kids head off to college.
