George's Story

George M Bond 64-67, went to Athens Tech 2 yrs, US Army active duty and reserves, UPS for fifteen years, Owned my own business as a Nationwide Insurance Agent/ Owner for 27 years. Now I'm working as a producer with an Independent Agency. Married to Frances Daniel of Athens for 26 years. I have a 39 yr old son from first marriage and 3 grandkids, 13,10,and 7. Life is great because of our relationship Jesus. The Sixties were a lot fun! go boating My Dad, He taught me what little common sense I have. He taught me how to appreciate friends, how to work, how to treat people fairly and how to try and be a better man The one person from my past who I'd most like to see again is seniors 1967, because They were a great bunch. A dog lover, any dog I always wanted to be a Business man when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was a great idea. As it turns out, they were right. If I won $100 million, I'd give over 10 percent of it to the Church, then spend the rest on family, friends and the needy. My current age is 66. When I was 12, I thought that people my age now would be retired. I was so completely wrong. to build up a business that would allow us to travel and retire to the beach My best friend would tell you I'm serious, but people who don't know me very well would probably describe me as care free . My wife wants me to dress preppy but business like In 10 years, I hope to be ahead of the game. I'm going to get there by working hard. Donnie Williams, We met in the first grade. He was laid back and I was wide open. Opposites attract. My first job was at cutting timber with my Dad, where I got paid 50 cents to measure timber. What I remember most about it is hard work. Going to the Blue Ridge Mountains, camping and fishing with the family.
