Family - Right after High School I met a girl. The girl of dreams and soon to be the love of my life. After 37 good years, 2 boys, 1 grandson and ton of great memories, life is still getting better. Work - 37 years in Public Works working for three different municipalities. I started at the bottom as a laborer for the City of Anaheim 1974. In 1977 I joined the Street Division in the City of San Luis Obispo. I had many opportunities to learn the many facets to street maintenance and was able to advance through the ranks to the number 2 position in the Streets Division. In 1993 moved to Lodi to become the Streets & Drainage Manager. Some of the areas of responsibility included the maintenance of 200 miles of street pavements, sidewalks, trees, traffic signals, and a storm system with a 160 miles of line. In addition to overseeing the maintenance of the City storm drainage system, I was the primary contact for the City’s NPDES SWMP. Over the couple of decades I have had many opportunities to meet with all types of people, citizens, politicians, suppliers and peers.
