George C's Story
Life
I have had a full life, made a lot of mistakes which, I regret! I am now on SS disability resulting from a bad accident I had in 1980 but, I have learned to adjust to it. Been divorced since 1976 but have a 30 year old son and, two wonderful granddaughters, age 2 and 7 who I really enjoy! I had lost contact completly with my classmates until about a month ago when I was contacted by Sandra Mcmullen who, was a classmate all the way from Elementary through High School! I am so greatful she contacted me as a conection to my friends from school is something that has been missing in my life. I now live in Dallas/Fort Worth Texas and have been since 1969. If, I had my life to live over again maybe, I wouldn't make as many mistakes, knowing what I know now but, that's life, you only have one chance at it!! I am alone now but, really not lonely! I look forward to seeing my deceased family and friends when I pass over. Until that time I will just try to live and enjoy life as much as I can. Not ...Expand for more

Military
I was in the army reserves for five years and two months and when I moved out here to Texas in 1969 missed a few drills and got called up to active duty. Went to Fort Sill in April 1969 and was there only about five months and came down on levy to Viet Nam. Was in A Co 716th MP batalion from 1969 to Sept 1970. Got out of the army but, because of the job situation went back in, in 1971, went to Germany and was there about five months and went back to Viet Nam to the Americal at Chu Lai was there until we stood down and went to Da Nang/ 196th Inf Brig. Came home in April 1972 and went to Fort Riley Ks until Sept 1973 when I got out of the army for good.
