George's Story
I graduated in 1949, went to KCJC for 2 1/2 years, was about to get drafted for the Korean war so I joined the Navy at Olathe Ks. I was accepted in the Navy Flight Training group. I went to Pensacola Fl for basic training then sent to several out bases for flight training, and then to Hutchinson Ks for advanced multi engine training. It was then I met my wife to be "Carol".

I was then stationed at Patuxent River Maryland. We were married in KC MO July 11 1954.
Went to work at Braniff Airlines in 1956. I flew co pilot for 7 years and then became Captain. I took Carol (and our 2 children) on a lot of trips.I flew to South America for several years and really enjoyed that.
When Braniff went bankrupt I flew corporate for about 11 years then retired.
